New Leadership Appointments
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has officially restructured its coaching team for the 2027 IPL season. The franchise appointed former players Mohit Sharma as bowling coach and Albie Morkel as assistant coach, alongside Gareth Batty, who joins as an assistant following his successful tenure with Surrey. These appointments follow the departure of Eric Simmons, Tommy Simsek, Rajiv Kumar, Greg King, and Michael Hussey.
Impact on Future Squads
The new staff will collaborate with head coach Zaheer Khan, MS Dhoni, and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad to finalize the team roster. With the retention deadline set for November 15 and the mini-auction scheduled for December 16, 2026, these strategic moves signal a shift in the franchise's preparation for upcoming campaigns.
